Introduce Conflict to Give Your Readers an Exciting Story

Most types of story, whether short stories or novels, absolutely need that vital ingredient: the conflict. Preferably more than one. You may well have your characters all fleshed out and ready to go, but don’t give them an easy ride! Bring some angst into their lives, your readers will love it!

Keeping the reader engaged and immersed in a story is the aim of every writer. The answer is to give the reader what he or she craves for, which is conflict. They want the hero to be presented with problems, cliffhangers, highs and lows, and a satisfying outcome at the end of it all.

In a beautiful and tiny garden in the hillside of the country, lived some of the prettiest and most delightful little garden fairies. These fairies, although small as the tiniest flower in the garden, were full of bright colors and warm hearts.
